Our Story
Welcome to Oesch Equestrian Center, an equestrian facility located in the heart of Wonder Lake, Illinois. Nestled in the scenic countryside of McHenry County, founder Haley Oesch launched her dream of a center dedicated to a positive and stress-free experience for both horses and riders of all ages and skill levels.
Founder Haley Oesch
With more than 17 years of experience in the equestrian disciplines, Haley Oesch started riding Western saddle at age 10 and completed twin degrees in Equine Science and Horse Technology. She has honed her skills at Western riding and currently competes in barrel racing events across the country.
At Oesch Equestrian Center, we believe horseback riding is more than a sport — it’s a lifelong partnership built on trust, confidence, and care. Whether you are stepping into the saddle for the very first time or continuing to grow your riding experience, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where every rider can thrive.
Our facility offers quality horse boarding, lessons and training. Ongoing education with clinics and other events are designed to help riders build strong fundamentals while developing confidence both in and out of the arena. We are passionate about fostering respect for horses, strong horsemanship skills, and a sense of community among our riders and families.
Located in beautiful Wonder Lake, our peaceful setting provides the perfect atmosphere for learning, training, and enjoying time with horses. We take pride in creating an environment where riders can feel at home while building lasting memories and meaningful connections with these incredible animals.
